Based in Amersfoort, Netherlands, Pien dedicate her time to her art after working for over 30 years as a nuclear medicine physician. Self-taught, Pien developed a taste for figurative expressionism mixed with a love for abstract art, which can be seen now in her large-scale canvases. As she works in her forest studio (the “Atelier of Boshaas”), Pien is surrounded by nature and takes her inspiration from it. As a result, she creates colourful and contemporary paintings letting her brush wonder into beautiful figurative abstractions.
